How to support the concrete well?
We offer cooperation where you can finance the construction of "your own" well in Haiti. The sponsor of the concrete well receives a certificate of gratitude. When the well is constructed the sponsor gets photos, description and the GPS coordinates of the sponsored well. The sponsor can also suggest its own well name. The construction of the wells can be viewed at www.haitiwells.com. The sponsor has also place for its own advertisement (logo, text).
The wells are realized in the poorest parts of Haiti where the residents are unable to pay for the construction.
The catalogue www.haitiwells.com represents the wells that have been realized. Besides, there are the wells that are to be constructed at specific places. Naturally, these wells can be sponsored.
The total price of the well construction is 6.500 USD (130.000 Kč / 5.200 EUR) if the construction is done by Praga-Haiti project. The commercial price is 18.000 USD (360.000 Kč / 14.400 EUR) - The model calculation of the local Haiti company(Foratech Haiti) where the construction has to be up to 20 km from the capital city Port-au-Prince.
The price calculation contains these parameters:
- Drilling depth – 60m (average)
- Team of 3 members from the Czech Republic for one year – drilling and the related work, logistics (purchase of materials, transport, configuration and well handover)
- About 20 wells per year (for 5 years)
- Service of machines (once per year)
- Machine depreciation and transatlantic transport (lorry, drilling tools, compressor)
The above sum is an approximate sponsorship price. The actual price depends on the deepness of the well, the used pump and other conditions of the construction. It is difficult to calculate the exact sum considering the aspects of the specific place.
The price of the well does not contain the overhead budget (managing, logistic, facilities, etc.).
